This is a strategic and logistical operation that involves careful planning, dismantling, transportation, and reassembly. The feasibility and cost of a site relocation depend heavily on the type of concrete plant being moved.

This process is often necessary for mobile or semi-mobile batching plants but can also apply to stationary plants when operational or strategic needs change.

Typical Steps in a Site Relocation

  1. Pre-planning and assessment: Evaluating the existing plant’s condition and creating a detailed plan that covers logistics, timelines, and costs.
  2. Site inspection and preparation: Conducting a thorough assessment of the new site to check for suitability, access to utilities, and compliance with zoning laws. This includes preparing the foundation and infrastructure.
  3. Disassembly and documentation: Meticulously taking inventory of all components and carefully disassembling the plant, documenting each step to guide the reassembly process.

  6. Reassembly & Alignment: Reinstall and align all systems – mixer, silos, conveyors, control panels.
  7. Testing & Commissioning: Run trials to ensure batching accuracy and system functionality.
  8. Regulatory compliance: Securing all permits and approvals from local authorities for the new location, which is crucial for legal operation.
